Living the rainy season lively
The cool, wet & pleasant days have finally arrived. The rainy season has arrived. Rain in our childhood days meant the start of school. During college, the start of rain meant to visit Lonavala. Peacock dancing in rain, the smell of mud, making paper boats, was a great excitement.
Full-length raincoat covering the school bag, wet socks & shoes and rainbow in the sky defines the rainy season. Enjoying the thrill, everyone heads for their daily routine. Protecting yourself with an umbrella from splashed water from cars is a big task.
Everyone loves the rainy season, but during office days rainy season got limited to heavy traffic & water logging. No fun, no joy, no pleasure, travel on waterlogged roads has become a day-to-day activity. Bike skidding & vehicle breakdown is the most common things.
But apart from these, people still enjoy the pakodas, masala chai with soft music in the background. Most of them keep watching the rain from their windows, some sit in their balconies, enjoying the monsoon.
This is how our life changed from school to office, fun-loving to boring, enjoyable to hectic. We end up waiting for the rainy season to finish. We forget to live life, the way we wanted to enjoy in our school days. One small travel needs to be planned during the rainy season to keep us fresh, lively & happy.
