Tata Motors is all set to unveil its Altroz premium hatchback car in the month of December.

The company is likely to officially launch the car in January month with the commercial rollout happening soon after.

The Tata Altroz has already been showcased at the Geneva International Motor Show earlier this year. The car was then dubbed as the Geneva Edition. The India-specific model is likely to incorporate a few changes to suit Indian conditions.

The model is being expected to come in one diesel and two petrol engine options. These models will conform to the upcoming BS-VI emission standard.

With black cabin finishing, a floating touchscreen infotainment system will dominate the dashboard. The latter gets dual-tone elements and the touchscreen system also has manual controls. The steering wheel comes with cruise control features. The Altroz will support app-based, Google-powered voice-activated commands too.

The Tata Altorz premium hatchback is expected to command an ex-showroom price between Rs.5.5 lakh and Rs.9 lakh. It will lock horns with segment peers like Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Honda Jazz.
